Has anyone tried using the speech recognition program Dragon on Docebo? Is Dragon software supported by Docebo? The user is trying to view the platform and typically Dragon would read out the text but the screen is appearing blank. Any troubleshooting advice out there is appreciated!
What are you trying to have Dragon read? If it is a SCORM or Tincan course it most likely will not work.
The user is trying to view the platform and yes the eLearning are Scorm files I believe that are found within the Docebo subscription library.
Thanks. I do not believe SCORM files as they are not text files that Dragon can see the underlying words.
Is there any other similar software out there that would be able to read it for people who have disabilities?
When creating a SCORM course we use some tools to provide audio and also others where we provide closed captions. You have to build that in when you create the courses. For voice overs you can either have someone do the voice over or you can use something like “Wellsaid”
In case anyone has had this issue with dictation software, here is the answer from Docebo:
We are not testing our platform against Dragon Dictation and whether or not it works with our changes and accessibility standards. We do this however for NVDA screen readers for Windows and JAWS, while using Chrome and Firefox (which are our support browsers).
With that being said, it would be up to Dragon Dictation to make their application work better with Docebo's existing accessibility that is available. Dragon can view our VPAT publicly to investigate more on the details.

Interesting Thanks for the update
