Course catalog - Type filter

With the transition to (v)ILT courses, we configured all our courses as (v)ILT. In the course catalog, it is quite misleading that you can still filter on type. Now when you filter on “webinar” there are no webinars shown, even though we created webinars but they are all configured as ILT courses. Will it be possible, and when, for users to filter on the type of session: ILT vs. vILT?

@IngerCnudde Did you ever find an answer to this question? We have a similar need to filter between ILT and VILT on Course Catalog level.

    @sebas I had some hope with the July release on filtering by attendance type, but unfortunately this was not implemented in the course catalog, but on the ILT course page.

    I think it would be possible to set something up via course additional fields and API’s, but I’m not as fluent in these workarounds as some others (referring to a certain @Bfarkas 😉). I usually come up with an idea of something we desperately need and then check with our IT guy how to make it happen.

    But if you could set up a field Session Type and behind it a script that looks at the event type (classroom/webinar) and based on this, populates the field on course level automatically with ILT or VILT, this could do the trick. Usually there are some other factors to consider that create extra conditions, which you often don’t notice until you try to configure or test it out, though.
