Question

Is there any way to make the browser "back button" more usable?

All the redirects play havok with back button.

Users do not like this.

I hid the breadcrumb bar but they don’t like that back button anyway.

Also, most of my page titles are generic, which makes the back button less usable.

Nope. The breadcrumbs are generally pretty useless in the platform and the back button is too. Things like nav are not great when dug into, things like main menu with no levels, no way to define breadcrumbs beyond primary and secondary level on custom pages, and too much scripting to settle on pages.

How about at least the page titles?

Not really, just the geenral name add which you seem to have done already:

:/

When I’m on the pages they have intelligible tab titles. But my history is always garbage. It’s a big minus.

Agreed.
