We are currently selling our content within the platform, and we want to expand on that a little further.  We have been diving into the subscription plans in Docebo, but I was curious to know if anyone has had any success with selling like credits or gift cards to use in your system.

For example: A user purchases a credit for $800, the user can use the credit for any course(s) until the value runs out.  Maybe put the $800 toward a course, or splitting the cost of $800 among 4 courses.

I’m playing with the idea of maybe having coupons in smaller dollar amount increments, but wanted to see if anyone has achieved the above with their platform and I’m curious to know what tools/integrations you may have used.

We too sell courses but have not thought about this concept since you cannot sell coupons or the like via Docebo...How would get someone to but a coupon or gift card? An external system? How would woudl you capture their payment? and record their credit in Docebo?

Creating and handing out coupons manually can be a lot of work so also curious to know how many clients you think would be interested in such options?

I have already tested coupons with subscriptions and they work as expected.

Yeah, that’s why I thought I would put the call out to see if anyone is doing this and how they achieved it. 

I’m guessing we would need to have some sort of shopping cart website where folks can purchase credits, then we provide the credits in the form of like coupons or subscription codes to be used in Docebo.

 

Something like Shopify is probably your easiest and cheapest option if you wanna build it yourself 

@Annarose.Peterson Did you ever work this out?  We are looking at providing training credits with our customers sales contracts and are looking for a way to implement that program in Docebo.  We don’t want a subscription but a way to use a number of credits assigned to their branch to purchase seats in our ILT sessions.  

So far we have not been able to find a way to make it work. It’s really similar to what you are trying to do in that we will let the customer buy additional credits as needed once their initial allotment is used up.

No not yet. 😔.  So far we are looking to manage the credit purchase/use in a separate database, and allowing specific people request to use credits using a request from on a page on Docebo. (The request form would be an iframed form.) 

The only hurdle we have is having someone see how their credit balance without having to contact us.

Writing this out makes me super wish Docebo had this functionality. 😓
