Greetings, team!

I’m struggling with notifications right now, especially for instructors.

Am I correct that instructors are considered “enrolled” in the course? I know I can enroll someone, and then change their level to Instructor. Does the same apply when I add an instructor to a session and event via the Properties page? I don’t always see the instructor on the Enrollments tab, which is why I question my understanding.

If that is a correct assumptions, do instructors then get the standard User Enrolled in Course and User Enrolled in ILT Session notifications? This is ultimately what I’m trying to figure out. :)

Thanks!

Jen

not anymore.

not anymore.

Oh, boy. So, does that mean there is NO NOTIFICATION that goes out to instructors to indicate they are assigned to a course or ILT session?

sadly that is correct…

We started using the “Send Email to instructor” option on the Sessions tab to do this but it’s sometimes more trouble than it’s worth.

forgot to add, if you enable the, User enrolled in ILT, there is an option to send a copy to the instructor. That would show them the session details but they get one for each enrolment so again, not ideal.

Yep, that’s what I just discovered. Well, dang. I don’t want to send emails to instructors manually, either. This is a BIG hole that needs to be filled.

indeed...

Ciao @JenWadsworth ,

This change in the management of enrollments for instructors was introduced by the migration of webinar courses as ILT Courses, you can fine more details in Docebo Help:

Thanks, @Annalisa! When I onboarded, ILT courses had already been implemented, so I never used “webinar” as a course type or bothered to learn about it, since I knew it was being sunset. But I  see now why I was confused about how instructors are treated. Appreciate the feedback!
