Hi, You cannot duplicate surveys, but when you upload to the Central Repository you can use a single survey in multiple courses.

Just make sure to select “local tracking” option when creating the survey and it will make a new survey when you pull it into your courses.

@lrnlab Lrnlab, I was just going to type “be sure to set it up so when they submit the survey in one course, it doesn’t block them because they submitted it in another course”. Is that what “local tracking” does?

Actually “Local tracking ensures survey completion is course-specific and does not share completion status across courses”

But you have to make sure to select local tracking at the time you create the survey.

@ACharlesCB what @dhanushka dayasiri says is correct. The local tracking option is set when you create the survey in the CLOR. This setting ensure the same survey is set to “new” in all courses where it is used. Users who filled it out in course A would still need to fill it out in course B and so on. All response are maintained inside the course where the survey is used and are not shared across courses.
