Hi everyone,

It’s great to see all the colaboration happening here!

I recently posted my first suggestion and it would be awesome if I could have your support.

Hi Tom!

Could you provide a use case for what this idea would be a solution for?  Would this be an idea to allow super admin or power users to enroll someone in a course that is over the attendance quota?

Hi Annarose,

It could be used that way, but I also like not having every material etc in Global Search results.

I like to think Availability to Search, should not overide Admin ability to Enroll.

It is possible to have courses locked so that users can only take a course if someone assigns it to them. They can see it, but they can’t actually enroll otherwise. Your scenario would make things really murky here as we use the catalogs to keep content isolated to the correct audience. If an admin can see outside that and assign courses that are beyond a learner’s visible catalog, people can end up being exposed to information that does not pertain to them and could cause confusion or worse. For example, a company employees assigning internal only content to a customer. Or customer A seeing courses in customer B’s catalog and assigning them.

Hi Katie,

In this suggestion, only the option to overide availability would exist so the person Enrolling the learner would have to have the permissions to select Overide Availability.

For the most part we are interested in removing materials from the Global Search.
