Hello, i want to know if it is possible to setup a notification (email) to superadmins that will be sent to only 1 super admin and not all the superadmins of the platform.

I have a superadmin that will be also in charge of some of the courses and i want to be able to triger a email when someone complete a test of a specific course without sending it to other admin that are not in charge of any courses.

Thanks

I created a group called ‘Notifications’ and placed only those individuals I want to get them into that group.

You could do the same and only place that one person in the group.

Be sure to target users of the group.

If you select SuperAdmins - they will all get it.

This is a great question, and one that I have been wondering about as well!! Looking forward to seeing what people have to say!!

@julientrudel  you can create a notification triggered by a user completing or failing a course exam Notification Events and Conditions – Docebo Help & Support then to target the specific superadmin, I would put them into a ‘Group’ and associate the notification with the triggering event within the course.

That was my first thought as well, use a Group… but can we set notification to send to a Group?  I think the only option on that would be for Power Users and set it for a specific Power User profile… if that is the case, maybe set up a second account for the Super Admin and set it to be a Power User with a profile that is only assigned to that account… as long as they can have easy access to those email notifications (maybe have them forwarded to their main account so they still come to the same Inbox)?

If it’s for ILT courses, you might be able to set that person as the Instructor and have the notifications go to the Instructors (assuming they are the only Instructor listed or that you are okay with the other Instructors getting those notifications too).

Doesn’t selecting a group will make the notification be triggered when users of that group finish the exam ? Because i tried putting my admin in a specific branch and making the notificaiton available to that branch allready and it didn’t work out I figured out it was because I was selecting who will trigger the notification and not who will receive it.

What do you think ?

This is what i think too, thanks for the recomandation I will keep it in mind as a solution!

It would be nice to have a “Super_Dooper_admin” role. 😀

If they are the instructor for the course I would set the notification to send to the instructor and not the Admin level.

Notifications are problematic at best as I do not find them very intuitive.

Would be easiest to have a page with a prompt asking who do you want to receive the email notification?

Then be allowed to enter any combination of group, branch, internal, or external individual.

All I know is that when I selected a group and then SuperAdmins - All superAdmins in the system get the email - not just the SuperAdmins in the group.(Me) When I changed it to Users, Everyone else stopped getting them and only I got them.

I guess I figured that because when I create a group and put people in it - they are called users. I could certainly be wrong on that.

Yes it’s possible to do that. You will have to go to groups and setup a group with just the super admin on it. Then set up the notification and select that particular group. Then this super admin will be the only person receiving the notification.

@julientrudel no branches are different. I would suggest using groups. Did you go to your Admin Menu >Groups and set that up?

Unfotunately the way we use group in my company doesnt really allow me to just create random groups as they are connected with another website and represents our clients so i have to find another way to resolve this issue.

@julientrudel - okay. I’m sorry the groups function is not working for you. I haven’t used branches so I can’t advise you on that.

I have created specific PowerUser profiles for this use case, and then assigned that PowerUser profile to the one specific person who should receive the notification

Hi all! This idea, while old, seems to still be open if you haven’t upvoted it yet.
