Hi everyone,

The Knowledgebase page on Terms and Conditions is very good but does not provide an example of T&C. As it is not populated by default I’m working through what I will put, noting I should have them already, oops.

So my question is do you have a Terms and Conditions that you wouldn’t mind sharing to consider?

Has anyone added anything about expectations of learners using online learning platforms? Expectations of computer literacy? Expectations of behaviour etc..

Thanks in advance for any examples folks are willing to share.

Those are smart topics you listed. I like the expectations of computer literacy. We went with linking to our corporate T and Cs, because (1) it was easier than trying to reinvent the wheel, and (2) we felt like our Legal department are the experts here, so we deferred to them. We’re software company and the LMS is used for training our customers, so that might not be an option for all.

I agree with Steven (above).I went to my Legal group as they were required by Marketing to approve the language. We kept it simple, but your comments regarding expectations and their tech requirements are valid concerns. I was checking out this site to get ideas, when we came up with ours. If you have serious concerns and don’t have a legal department to go to, it can be worth getting professional involved. As an SA, you have enough to do without being your own lawyer.

Try to ask your docebo Deployment Manager. They provided us with a sampleT&C.

I have updated our Privacy Policy and the Terms & Conditions successfully. Interestingly I had not ticked the box in the Advanced Settings requiring people to accept the T&C but when I changed them, the LMS immediately forced me to accept them, and has done for everyone else to my surprise.

I do not know why but I have ticked that box now. I was hoping to edit them first before clicking save and expecting all uses to be forced to accept my changes, which were not perfect in formatting sadly. I do not want to adjust them again now.

@jckemv After some of our learners finish training, we issue an “ID” to them that allows their access to other company assets. With that ID comes the expectation that they will maintain a legitimate email address in the LMS so that we can communicate with them post-training. If they fail to do this, or if they request that we unsubscribe them from those email communications, we also disable their ID.

We use the T&C page to specifically outline this policy.
