Hey guys - is it possible as an admin / Super user to provide a default User Management Grid view for our users? Does that have to be an individual preference? We’d like to provide a standard view for all users that is meaningful. Thanks!

The Users page always defaults to the same 9 columns,  you can’t control that for other users.

That would be very helpful, if we could edit the default view for all users, both in User Management and Course Management.  We have some fields (both built-in and custom fields) that are not included in the default columns and we struggle to keep our Power Users educated about the recommended fields.

Copy that… OK so is there a best practice for managing users by role in large orgs? e.g. I need to assign all my mechanics a learning plan or subset of courses. Would it be beneficial to create groups for these folks within Branches?

Saved Views (Filters), Default Views, Sticky Searches - all would help.

Groups yes are a very effective way of mapping individuals based on a personal identifier (think of a direct mapping to a manual group) or based on data in their profile (automatic mapping based on a logic/criteria that is part of the profile).

Branches are probably at a higher level of organizational structure and your folks are probably housed in them already by organization types of divisions that make sense for the team (departments, segments of the workforce, etc) - you should probably avoid too granular of a breakdown for branches to avoid needing to administrate towards that granularity.

This was submitted specifically for course management, but some comments added that it would be beneficial in all areas of the platform. Perhaps a platform-wide idea should be submitted to cover all areas.
