VILT Enhancement- Put the ILT in line with the rest of the modules

We have pre-work modules that learners have to take prior to the VILT session, and alot of time learners get confused on what needs to be completed when.  It would be beneficial to have the VILT listed as a training materials or at least in line with the training materials.  This would give learners a linear approach to which modules that need to be completed prior to taking the VILT.

This is a great idea! Have you submitted it as an IDEA? If so, I’ll definitely upvote it.

@andrea.bullock Would it not make sense to have a elearning course with these training materials and then have learners be enrolled in the VILT once they complete the elearning course? This can be accomplished through a Learning Plan or base the completion of the elearning course for a group inclusion and have the group tied to an enrollment rule that assigns the VILT?

The point about bringing in the ILT with the e-learning module is once I am registered for a course (elearning or VILT) I would have access to all of the TM. If I did not complete the TM it would not prevent me from attending the VILT session as TMs currently do not prevent registration. They can impact completion if the TM is a Test.

Same goes for having training material that we want learners to complete AFTER the session. Especially assessments.

The stumbling block for all the VILTs is getting learners to enroll in the session. There should be an enrollment rule into a session as well as a course. We are constantly struggling with the session enrollment, although the session enrollment links have helped a bit.

@colin.schott There is not just e-learning modules that have to be completed prior, there is some external items that have to be completed as well like some installation of certain products or software.  If we had to separate everything into a bunch of different learning plans we would have hundreds of learning plans.  We have set learning plans based on a their role.

We have had this functionality in our previous LMS and it may the learner experience so much easier.  We were under the impression during our sales process that Docebo was able to be set up the same.

I appreciate the suggestion though.  We will look into this and see if it would be possible to set it up this way.

+1. I have also advocated for an “event” training material specifically for one and done VILT events. I hate having to create an ILT and a session and an event for a 1 hour one time offering.
