👋 Hello!

💡 Our goal is to make the Docebo navigation as intuitive and seamless as possible.

We invite you to complete a few simple tasks – The approximate time of completion is 10 minutes.

There are no right or wrong answers — we simply want to understand how you naturally navigate the system. If anything seems unclear or confusing, please let us know! Your feedback is key to improving the experience.

Thank you for your time and valuable insights!

Is this activity in final draft form? I didn’t manage to get a screenshot, but there was a page that looked like it had filler text and made zero sense (something about a drawer??).

Thanks for your feedback! This version of the activity is part of a first iteration, and within this testing phase, we're focusing on evaluating only a limited set of core functionalities. Some placeholder or incomplete content (like the drawer reference you mentioned) may still be present, as we're not yet at the final draft stage.

We appreciate you flagging this, and your input is really valuable in helping us refine things for the next version.

Whether this is a polished test scenario or a first draft, that doesn’t matter. Sending out a test scenario to any of your users where the question text says, “bla bla bla bla” is unprofessional.  If you’re not taking this test seriously, why should your users??

I would not have called this intuitive.

Now - I have one place to go in order to find my admin functions. One bucket

This splits them up into many buckets and I would prefer to have all my tools in one place.

I personally do not prefer menu systems that are ICON only. The icons should be labeled. Intuitively, I wanted to click the gear icon but there wasn’t one so I wanted to click the wrench but it didn’t work.

I was expecting the same text menu as we were presented with but instead just got icons which was off-putting for me.

User Management and Course Management are the top two areas I am in on a day to day basis - I would like to see them as top level menu items.

You're absolutely right—and thank you again for pointing this out. We've reviewed the test and identified the placeholder text that had been mistakenly left in. That was an oversight on our part, and I agree it shouldn’t have made it into the version you saw.

The text has now been removed, and we're taking extra care to avoid similar issues in future iterations. We appreciate your attention to detail and your honest feedback—it helps us keep improving.

Thank you so much for this detailed feedback — this is exactly the kind of input we're hoping to gather through this type of testing activity. Our goal at this stage isn't to present a final or perfect solution, but rather to explore different approaches and gather constructive insights to help us iterate and improve.
You've raised some important points around menu structure, icon usability, and the discoverability of key admin tools. We'll be taking this feedback into account as we move forward.
If you're open to it, we'd love to reach out again for a follow-up once we're at a more mature stage in the project.

I like the expandable menu with the ability to pin it. I agree with @gstager that it felt less intuitive to find what you need, mostly because we do not know what is under each of the main topics. The task I struggled with the most was finding the manage pages area. I think the parent categories make sense, but the sub-categories might be too granular for the Configure section. Perhaps name it ‘System Configuration.’ The people and content categories were very clear to me.

I could not get to the create a course and learning material task - it did not load for me.  I agree with the comments above.  For me, navigation is about joining up admin tasks, ie courses to notifications, in a sensible flow.
