Hi, friends.

We are trying to find a way to create/issue certificates for a single session within a course. Our Power Users are using our courses as a shell, with the sessions being specific topics under that shell. For example, we have a course (shell) called “Good Documentation Practice”. Under that shell, the PU is creating separate sessions: No blank spaces; use permanent ink; error correction.

When we try to get the certificate(s) for individual users for a particular session, we can only get the certificate to print the course (shell) information; we can’t get the session information (such as code and session name).

Does anyone have a way to print session information on a certificate? We have not been successful, but we really do need to come up with a solution.

Thanks!

In the certificate template, under “course fields”, there is short code for [lt_classroom_name], which would bring in the session name

While you can pull in the Session information (as stated above), I believe that the certificate is only issued when the entire course is completed.  I don’t think it gets issued every time an individual session is completed - if that is the flow you’re expecting.
