Has anyone experienced this error with the Channels Setup?  We are unable to edit or create new channels. When we try to do so, a pop-up opens as if it wants to let us edit/create new channels, but nothing else opens. We have a support ticket open, but it’s been several weeks since we have received an update, so I thought that maybe it might be a common error with a simple fix on our end. If you have experienced this error before, was there anything you were able to do to resolve it?

 

 

That looks like old UI, back when setting something up (or editing) happened in a lightbox. I can’t imagine why you would have a legacy looking page.  

 

I just checked in my platform and when I set up a new channel the options appear in a panel on the right side of the screen. 

New Channel:

And if I edit a channel I’m taking to a different page for the channel properties.

A possible workaround for editing a channel might be from accessing the channel properties page directly.

It the URL will look like this:

https://hyourplatformdomainurl]/share/channels/edit/XX?tabs=tab-properties

XX will be the channel ID.

Hopefully you can access that to edit channel properties.  

 

I can’t think of why you would have the legacy UI for channels showing up. You might want to let support know on your ticket that it is old UI, maybe that will help them ID the cause of the issue.


haven't encountered this but have seen some legacy screens pop-up from time to time...definitely push support to get this resolved for you...


Thanks @Annarose.Peterson this is super helpful. Everywhere else in the platform definitely has the panel open on the right-hand side so I’m not sure why the Channels space is different. I’ll add this extra level of detail to our ticket and see what they find.
