We are moving to Docebo. Our old LMS data has been imported - but I unenrolled some employees from the Learning Plan and lost thier data - now it states a new date of enrolment and all completions are gone.

  1. How do I get that data back?
  2. If not, how do I import the old data again for that learning plan with completions and without losing any other data?

Have you migrated all the historic course completions related to these learning plans?

Learning plans in Docebo are complete when the user has completed the required courses in the learning plan. If you add a new required course to a learning plan, the users who previously completed the learning plan will no longer be complete until they complete the new course.
Learning plan completion date is the date the last course in the learning was complete.

Hi @NHKLDBP  Unfortunately, if you unenroll from the LP and don’t elect to retain completions, it does delete the course level completions.  You can use this post by @Bfarkas to help re-import your completed data via API.

@hwolfehall Ok - this might help me - but I’m new to this, so it’s going to take me time to understand it! i had thought that I could just upload a CSV straight into the LMS?  Edit - just tried with one single user but came back error 400 - not sure what to do or what i did wrong. Will have to go through it all again.

CSV upload is only for enrollments, not completions. Plus, if you want the completions on specific dates for historical accuracy you need to use APIs to migrate your data.

@dianex.gomez  Thanks - I’ve just discovered that. This side of an LMS is not my expertise and the API is ‘Yikes’! I’m not sure I have enough time to learn it. we have Docebo through a third party, so there may also be differences - likely, we will have to get them to do the full data migration again!
