Currenttly, there is no a “Preferred Name”  for users to enter. We have quite a high demand in our organisatin for this. It would be extemely benefitial in terms of DEI. Does anyone know if docebo has it on their roadmap?

We import the preferred name from our workday file.

Are you wanting the user to be able to change what their preferred name is in Docebo themselves?

I don’t think this is an option. Why we pull in the preferred name from our Workday (HR) system.

Hi! We had a similar issue, and developed a workaround that isn’t perfect by any means but functions.

Do your users login with Single Sign On, or username/password?  :-)

A statement - you can expand the custom fields on a user to include a Preferred Name (and even a preferred pronoun as needed).

I know that may not feel the same - but in terms of function, it begins you down the path of getting you there and having that detail included in reports.

Though not ideal, a workaround --

If you are importing users (we import from our HRIS, Workday) you can map Preferred Name to the default name fields in Docebo and then use custom user fields for the legal name. If needed, you can hide the custom field (legal name) from the user’s view.

We use Additional Fields in User Management for this

We use the additional field for managing this though we map the preferred name to the first name and the formal first name to another field.

As most have said, additional fields get you down the road here, just think through what you map to first name as that is what shows around the system heavily so should be the preferred
