Hello.  Several weeks, we have been having issues with User Import/Update CSVs that we’ve been running successfully for YEARS.  All of a sudden, they are failing.  Just completely stuck.  I’ve tried many things.  Direct User Upload via CSV in User Management and Automation App Import CSV.  Both die.

The files are under 2MB!  This is consistently happening.  And, because Background Jobs stack, it prevents any other jobs from processing.  My issues seem suspiciously timed with the new look/feel of the Background Jobs interface...

I’ve logged tickets, and not gotten any adequate response.  Is anyone else having new or escalated issues with User Import functions?

I have noticed that with the new Back Jobs UI my CSV user imports stay in the queue much longer than usual, and there are only 10 to 30 records in each file.  I haven’t filed a support ticket because I wasn’t sure if it was a client-side issue or server-side. I’m now thinking it’s server-side.

I agree, I have found the lack of progress indicators to be very frustrating. Things like big imports sit there for quite some time. Then you have to refresh to see that it went from 30% to 35%.

I used the little spinning arrows a lot. Just hovering over them to see where I was in the queue, but now I HAVE to go to background jobs.

Oh, the good old days. But hey, you can change the column width in Learning Plans now. Even the dialogs for learning plans.

I SO need this capability in the Users area.

Ours seem to be running fine so definitely followup that ticket...

I’m seeing the same issue since the update. It's almost like the job is timing out. The imports that completed took 3 times longer than they used to, but my file sizes are the same. Not seeing the improvement with this new IU for background jobs.

interesting and definately needed to keep an eye on. actually its not (yet) really an issue here . used batch csv import via gui to mod some 100-150 users . platform is located in the EU-Frankfurt DC

Exactly. I’m on US-East/Virginia server.  Are you as well?

@brian.dominguez Could you get this to the right Docebo person to investigate as this is not an isolated issue?  I am not sure who to reach out to and I’m not getting response from support other than they would “let the senior team know.” Thanks!

I am experiencing the same issue since the update also. The background jobs are just not moving and the Refresh button isn’t refreshing. It is like the jobs are stuck. Reading through the comments, this does seem to be a platform issue which needs to be addressed ASAP. I will put in a ticket this morning.

Our database is on the US-east-1 (Virginia) server as well.  We have been experiencing multiple “server error” and “database problems” red pop-up messages since this update. Docebo Support said in my ticket that they have the releases today to address those.  There was no further information on when the releases are being applied. I’m not sure if this is related to our issue with the .csv imports.

I’m also on the US-East instance, so now I’m wondering if these upload problems were localized to our region.

Is anyone else seeing “Database error while importing.” in the error log when the job finally completes? I never got that before this UI update.

I’m doing some user uploads on Sunday, so I’ll post a follow up then.

We, unfortunately, are no stranger to that error.  We have gotten it prior to the update as well.

@hwolfehall In response to my support ticket, I was told that the “Database error while importing.” error only occurs when you are adding/importing in multiple lines in the .CSV file that have the same usernames. I did get an update this morning for the Docebo Enterprise Plan Platforms - US (Virginia) Region Degraded Performance Incident related to background jobs that it has been resolved.  I haven’t tested a new .CSV import yet.  If anyone else has an import job today, I’d love to know if you are seeing improvement in the job completion times.
