Thank you for all the input you have shared so far with us in this Product Design Group and in the focus group sessions we’ve had. The time is coming to move to the next stage and we are now ready to officially transition to our Beta program!

This beta will be exclusively focused on testing Learner Communities and how it best meets your business needs. We want to make sure we cover various use cases, internal (eg employees), closed external (eg contractors) and open external (eg customers) and focus on making sure your business needs are matched with the product capabilities.

Here’s a quick summary of the program details:

  • As a Beta participant, Super Admins and Power Users will be granted early access to the new Learn Communities module that will be fully embedded into your Learn sandbox or production environment (in a hidden mode).
  • We will provide you with extensive product documentation, clearer pricing information (beyond what I shared on our last pricing regroup call) and other supporting materials.
  • For these few partners who don’t have a beta-program addendum signed in their contract, we will need to address this, I will follow up with these steps directly after you fill the form.
  • Our expectation of you as a Beta participant is that you use the new module and provide feedback.
  • We estimate your time commitment to this Beta to be approximately 10 hours total, which will include:
    • A 60 minute one-on-one beta onboarding call during which we will activate Learner Communities on your platform and walk you through the functionality;
    • ~3 hours of your own time during the first month dedicated to using Learner Communities, then 1-2 hours for the subsequent months of the beta;
    • Active participation in 30 minute feedback sessions (1 per month)
    • Feedback through email detailing a) blockers you encountered that may stop you from being successful in using the product, b) questions on using the product, and c) suggestions on improvements that are not blocking, but beneficial;
    • If needed, quick ad-hoc calls to clarify any blockers, questions or feedback.
  • The Beta will start on February 27, around which point I will start reaching out to book these initial calls. And it will continue right into the first general release, which is targeted for June 2024. The deadline to join the beta is by April 5th.

And if you do sign up for the Beta, to thank you for your time and effort in participating, we would like to offer:

  • a 50% discount on Learner Communities for the first year if you sign on to add the module to your Learning platform before the Beta ends in June, or
  • a 25% discount on Learner Communities for the first year if you sign on to add the module to your Learning platform by June 2025.

Ready to go? If so, complete this form and we will reach out with the steps before the start date.

Please note that if you haven’t filled the initial PDG intro request, we still need you to do this so we understand your case better and can plan accordingly. Here’s the link.
