There is a “Suggested for You” widget underneath the information on a given course on its course page. I was wondering: Is there a way to incorporate this in a Channel? I know there are AI-based Channels, but these are working off of skill tagging. Is there a way to create a “Suggested for You” AI-based channel that recommends courses based on enrollment and/or completions?

Thank you!

you can create AI built channels however these are based on Skills. So in theory, if the courses you want to recommend are also tagged with those skills it could make sense...You would likely need to create a group based on other conditions (enrolments, completions) to control who can access the channel.

Thank you. Yes, I am aware that we can tag courses with skills and then have an AI Channel create custom recommendations based on those skills. What I am asking is if it is possible to create a Channel of course recommendations that aren’t based on tagged skills.

Once you tag your courses and create a channel that is aligned to those skills, those would be your recommendations...dont think it can be personalized for each user though; just based on the matching skills according to what I read.

We have asked Docebo to define how “Suggested or Recommended” content is defined for each user but never got a clear answer on how this is done other than things like course usage.

@lrnlab

Have you had a look at this KB article on content recommendation?

yes thx @Annalisa however we have found that the recommendations are not always aligned to the individual user. I understand it should get better over time but many users are not in the LMS on daily or weekly basis and never seem to get the right recommendations.
