Anyone else’s email notifications not working?

yes! we have 2 tickets open on this...notificaitons are not working + the new Domain Management app seems to have lost most of our information and we believe this may be the cause of the issue...have an urgent ticket and waiting for updates later today.

My notifications appear to be working so far. I don’t have a ton of courses going on right now but I have over 20 notifications that have sent between 6 AM and 10 AM this morning. I will keep an eye on it though now that I see a couple of you are reporting issues.

@Stephanie Dreiling We have not gotten any notifications since Dec 12th.

We’ve a ticket out too, the newsletter functionality doesn’t work when we are in our custom domain. As @lrnlab flagged our issue is tied to the new domain management app. There was mention of a request for a hot fix to be made so we’re watching/waiting.

@AngeWi Our newsletter functionality also isn't working as of last Thursday.  So, it has to do with the new domain management app? I hope a hot fix is made SOON.

same here, last Thursday sometime around 3-4 PM ET ti all stopped...

We just got a helpdesk update

“The Dev Team has turned off the toggle for the Email Sender Domains feature so that you do not encounter any problems with any functionality. We will turn the feature back on after the release of the 20th of December which will fix the encountered misalignment.”

I’ve tested the newsletter sending from our custom domain and it’s worked.

Did I miss a Docebo announcement about this? We only spotted the newsletter as it’s used for a fortnightly update with one client.

interesting...I’ll give it another try...

yup that seems to have done the job for now...thanks for the post @AngeWi

Our newsletter feature is still not working???

Morning @colesann were you able to send a test newsletter using the main platform url rather than a custom domain? If not, then it might be something else and definitely worth raising a helpdesk ticket or having a live chat with the Support Team.

Hello, my existing email notifications are working but when I create a new one it’s blocked with an error message saying the email address from the sender is not working because of the domain management.

Is is the same on your side?

Hello there, I just tried and was able to create a new notification, think it’s worthwhile raising a ticket or using the live chat functionality to get that checked.

@AnnabellePrioul

We are experiencing an issue with all our email notifications. None of our current email notifications are being sent out, including notifications for course enrollment/completion and webinar reminders. As a result, our users are not receiving any notifications at all. We recently had an event where we wanted to introduce many students to our platform, but we are not informed when they register, and they will not receive email notifications informing them how to access the platform. Needless to say, this has been quite frustrating for us. Docebo has been working on the issue for a week now, but we haven't seen any progress yet. We were told to have an amazing week.

Seems we are affected too - unable to create any notifications - errors out each time.
Tracking inbox looks sparse too, so existing send possibly affected too.
Ticket raised...

@AnnabellePrioul it’s the same with us, our existing notifications are working but we cannot create new ones.

Our LMS is provided via a third party, when I raised a ticket with them they responded with the following:

“I have taken a look in your Docebo environment and can see that you have not configured the 'email sender domains' for xxxxxxxxx.gov.uk via the domain management area of the admin menu. If you go into this area of Docebo and add a new email sender domain, this will provide you with all of the keys you will require in order to update your internal DNS.”

I’ve raised this with our IT Department to configure this area and the internal DNS so will let you know what they say.

Hey everyone, I found this thread on Monday when I realized our notifications hadn’t gone out for over a week and it looks like the fix must have been implemented because some notifications have gone out over the past few hours.

I am glad this appears fixed but am extremely disappointed Docebo didn’t proactively contact impacted customers to let them know as soon as they learned about it or make a notice of it on the community somewhere. Notifications are a critical functionality and I need them to work consistently so our users know when they’ve been enrolled and receive reminders detailing when training is due. It seems like major functionality to break with an update and not tell customers unless they discover it for themselves and reach out.

@AnnabellePrioul same scenario here.

Our primary admin took a shot at the configuration in the domain management section. It appears by including “www.” in front of our domain was the issue. Support suggested I create a new connection using the URL without the prefix and now we’re up and running.

I have had a ticket opened since end of January about issue with notification that is not going out for new courses built after January 9th.  The same notification goes out for older courses that we just add new sessions. We have made no progress with Docebo Support on our ticket.

Now they are saying it is an ‘DNS Issue’.  If other notifications are going out and being received, wouldn’t an DNS issue cause all notification to stop going out?

.Any help on a solution would be appreciated or explanation how an DNS issue would only affect 1 notification assigned to newly built courses that has 2 other notifications assigned and working.

We are having to send out manual approved confirmation emails for every new course with their calendar invite. This is an Admin nightmare going on.
