Hello,

We have manual groups that are created by our admins, the purpose of the groups is enrolling users to courses & learning plans.

The problem we are having is once a new user is added to the existing group, they are not automatically enrolled to the course. We want the user to also be enrolled to the course if they are added to the group.

Is there an easy way to accomplish this?

That shouldn’t be a problem using enrollment rules. You just need to define who is being enrolled (in this case the group) and the content the user(s) are being enrolled into (course). Do you have the enrollment rules app active on your platform? If not, that’s what I’d recommend using.

We aren’t actively using the enrollments rules app yet, thank you for the suggestion. If I have an existing group and I create an enrollment rule, the enrollment rule would only enroll new users to the users who are added to the group after the enrollment rule is created, right?

Exactly, enrollment rules don’t work retro-actively. If you already have users in the group, you can just enroll them manually in the course. You can do that from the course management page of the course: manage enrollments → enroll users, and then select the group you want to enroll.

Thank you!
