I want to change the “Please confirm your registration request” email that asks users to verify their email address. I thought setting up a “User email address must be verified” notification would overwrite that, but I still get the same registration request email.
I tried notifications, advanced settings and a couple more places but can’t find the origin of that verification email. As a last resort I could change it in the Localization Tool, but I’d rather avoid that.
Can someone point me to the right place, please?

HI @LSP some thing can only be changed via Localization (ex: forgot password text)...I recommend you keep a log of your changes...it’s very helpful
Hi @lrnlab thanks for the link! Thankfully I came across your Localization Tool log post before I made the first changes, that was super useful, thanks for posting.
It’s good to know that there are some things that can only be changed through the Localization Tool, but I can’t accept yet that the Registration Request email might be one of them. It’s the first email users get from the system after registering and I would be surprised if that one is not customizable with HTML and you need to go through the Localization Tool.
Currently, the text reads
“We have received your subscription request with the following information:
UserID : XXX
To complete the registration process, please click on the link below, (or copy it in your web browser address bar)“
Does that ring any bells?
@LSP sorry to say it’s definitely one you need to do via localization...found it...here’s a screen shot:
@lrnlab Thanks for looking that up for me! I actually found another way to do what I wanted: We’re using Extended Enterprise and there are two places where you can set the registration type to free and check the box for “Do not send confirmation email at self registration“
Using those setting from the subportal domain I’m currently setting up doesn’t work.
However, activating those same settings in the main portal did the trick. No more ugly confirmation request email and the nicer “User email must be verified” notification triggers as intended.
It creates a bit of a strange situation as anyone maintaining the system will need to be aware that some settings are accessible from both portals of the Extended Enterprise but only doing it in the main portal works and there’s no indicator to alert admins to that.
Hi all, I have unchecked, “Do not send confirmation email at self registration“ but it still occurs. we do not love that this is the first interaction someone new has with our platform; it’s boring and off-brand. Are there other solutions that may work?
