UPDATED: Can someone shed some light on how exactly the “New comment” notification triggers? Say, Jane posted in a thread. John comments. Then Jane responds to that comment. The notification is set up to go to users.
- Does Jane get notified when John comments?
- Does John get notified when Jane (or anyone else) responds?
I’m a bit swamped right now and would appreciate if someone could enlighten me and I didn’t have to test this myself.
And just to confirm:
- Users cannot unsubscribe from notifications
- There is no possibility to notify if someone has been mentioned (The only “mention” notification is for “Discover, Coach and Share,” but not for forum interactions.
Is that correct? Is the notification system one of the systems that gets an overhaul this year?
