Today, managers have no option to “approve” enrolment requests...only. way to do this is to set them up as Power Users with those permissions. We used this for one of groups and it worked well.
So what do you do when you have 100s of managers who need to review just their direct reports for an assignment. This seems a little short-sighted on the Docebo side of things, and conversely on the Observational Checklist side in that you should be able to have a self-, peer-, manager-review, and instructors for both assignments and observational checklists.
I would be highly interested why they chose to target the differences for both.
We have the exact same use case. We have hundreds of managers who should only be able to review only their direct reports, and we need to restrict that from other managers.
@Belstone we are executing this type of sales ILT training now. We found the best solution for managers to evaluate assignments was to create power user profiles and assign each manager their specific users. Not sure if you can do this through cvc, but we did it manually. Time consuming but accomplished what was needed.
The only other option would be enrol the managers as instructors in your courses but keep in mind that with this access, same as if they were PU’s, the challenge is for them to only work on or approve assignments from their own employees...depends on your internal processes to some degree.
This is definitely something that could be a feature request. Our previous platform did this very thing, and extremely well. When configuring the course settings for the Assignment/Screen Recording, you could select “Manager” as the Reviewer of the content. Because Manager hierarchy exists in Docebo, I would love to see the same capability!
