New icon for 'open link in a new tab" in course descriptions?

Did anyone else notice this little icon appear with the switch to the new course player if you have links in your course description that are set to open in a new tab?

Is it possible to get rid of this?

I assume you could do this with CSS but font have any code to offer you...
