Several issues with different degree of importance, but still interesting to find out how others have solved similar issues. The issues will be numbered to make responding to them easier.
- We use certifications to keep track of when/if courses need to be taken again. We also want to use Learning plans to enroll users into all mandatory courses. The problem is; if the user has an active certification that has been granted based on uploaded documentation through “External training”, this does not stop the user from being enrolled to a course with the same certification connected. Any way to make Certification status determine if a user is enrolled to a course in a learning plan?
- External training: When uploading external training documents, the users are forced to pick a Course name, but they are not forced to pick a Certification to be updated. Is there any way to make picking a Certification from the drop-down list mandatory?
- Certifications and retraining: We experience that our listed certifications are not appearing in a chronological order. Is there any way to make sure that the Drop-down list automatically sorts in a Chronological way? We would also prefer searching this field to cover any word in the certification you are looking for - not just the first letters of the certification.
- Power users: We would like our leaders to be able to: View all training history for all employees in their field, but we also only want them to be able to make edits (for example handle certifications) for their own employees. We haven’t found a good way to connect different PU-profiles to different kinds of resources. Any good ways to solve this that we haven’t thought of?
- Course shells: We use course shells for ILT, to keep track of who is supposed to take different courses. We have some specific Power users responsible for each ILT-shell, but we struggle to find a good way of showing who is the responsible person for each kind of course shell. We also struggle to set up alerts to the course coordinators of each ILT, so that they are alerted when a user has been enrolled to their course, or if users have been waiting for a long time to take a course that the PU is responsible for.
- “Renew now”-button: We removed this button for a while, after we found many users accidentally clicked it, and reset their course progression. After removing the button, we found that the expired certifications did not get renewed when the users took the required course with the same certification supposed to be granted. We therefore had to enable the button again, and we now expect the same issue with people resetting their course progression. Is there any way to avoid this issue?
- Enrollments based on a certification about to expire: any way to make users being automatically enrolled to a course when they have x-amount of days until a certification expires?
