In an ILT session I want learners to be marked as “Completed” once they have taken the Post-Test. Therefore, I have selected “Training Material Based” in the settings to try to accomplish this. However, I also have a Pre-Test in the training material list. With 2 tests in my training material, will learners get marked as completed after only doing the pre-test? Or will it mark them complete after taking BOTH tests? Or in general- if I have multiple tests, will they have to complete all tests to be marked “complete” or just one test?

Thanks!

Not sure the LMS is smart enough to know the difference between a pre-test and post test...I would suggest to build out a test case to see the effect.

If it doesn't work, could you create a new course for the pre-test and leave only the final test in your ILT course? If you want to be strict about it, you could also automate a rule that would assign the ILT course only when the pre-test is passed (if that’ soft any interest to you)

Thanks for the reply. I did test it out and so far it seems like you do have to complete BOTH tests for the course to be marked as ‘complete’. I’m good with this result as it accomplishes what I need. I wasn’t sure if it would behave this way consistently for learners so please do let me know if you or anyone else learns more about the “Training Material Based” option for Session Completion. I’ve seen other posts here reporting the opposite behavior (that taking a single test out of multiple will mark the session complete).

It could be that they made the test the “end object marker” under the settings...this would have the same effect...Glad to hear it’s working as you designed it...always good to know...
