One of our SMEs wants to host a course where staff will:

  • Watch a video
  • Complete an assessment
  • Sign a waiver

The waiver is an official form provided by a governing agency, so we need to use their form. The second half of this step is that the SME then needs to fill out the bottom half of the form confirming that the staff member completed all training.

Does anyone have any suggestions for how to manage this?

I’m wondering if I can do something where the learner esigns the form and it is automatically sent to our SME, then she would execute it and send it back. I don’t think this is something we can track in the Learning Hub though?

Sounds like you can use the object type called “Assignment” this will allow you to post the government doc and have the user download it and fill it in. Once submitted, the admin can download on their end, add their details and then post it back up for the user to approve...it’s a nice two-way process that allows some back & forth. Of ourselves you will need to test it to make sure it works as you intend.

Thank you. I think we’re going to do something fairly similar. Our SME wants the new hire’s direct supervisor to sign off on the form, so we’re going to have the learner download and execute the form, have their supervisor execute the bottom half, then the learner will submit the completed form as the assignment. That way, we still have record that everyone signed off, but without having to make a lot of additional people Super Admins.
