Hi Everyone,

We are looking into ways to clean up any outdated courses that are currently published. We heard at the Inspire conference in Rome, a user has set up some sort of rule to automatically un-publish a course when it hasn’t been used or may be outdated. I am unable to recall the name of the session, but if anyone can instruct me on how/if this is possible I would appreciate it! Or if you have other methods of doing a deep clean, we are open to any recommendations!

Has a look at the Automation app but don't see any options there...maybe it was something that could be done via the API’s and Webhooks?

Morning,

The only thing that I can think of is using the course validity period in conjunction with some API routines to:

  1. change the status of the course
  2. remove it from its current catalog
  3. add it to another catalog (lets call that one “archived”).

Using the validity period should establish a hard lock on the course / training material within once the course is beyond the deadline. That doesn't though change the status of a course to under maintenance or any other archiving routines (like removing it from a “publically viewable” catalog).

I am curious of what you saw…maybe we can get a hand on a copy of the presentation????
