I’m wondering if anyone has done this already.

I would like to have a calendar embedded on a page that showed all the different events coming up. Colour coded for different types of things eg lunch and learn, workshop, social etc, and as you clicked on a session it gives you an option to add it to your outlook calendar, not download a csv.

Basically we want to have a single calendar in a central place that shows all the available events and makes it really easy to sign up.

I’m pretty sure it’s not possible. I have embedded an outlook calendar on a page but it wasn’t great.

Thanks

Hi Lucy,

We use the catalogue on a page as a widget that is set up in calendar view. This works really well for showing upcoming events. The user does have to click on it, self-enrol and then can add it to their calendar but it does go into a second random outlook calendar and then has to be dragged into the user’s own outlook calendar. I don’t think many people use it as we do send out a notification that sends the ICS attachment which works a little better for the end user. We are just about to integrate the outloko connector so that will solve that issue. I know other customers also use genially.com to create event calendars but I found it a bit complicated to be honest so have stuck with the calendar widget on a page!

Regards

Yes, @rgill29 the ICS attachment has caused a few issues in the past so I’m trying to find a way around that. Also the extra calendar that it creates from the in built calendar widget has caused issues. So I’m wondering if there are any simpler ways. I’m happy to code and use Power Automate. To make the outlook calendar look reasonable you have to use css coding to make them fit the page. I’ll have a look at genially.com thanks

Not a “soft” solution but we built an in house custom application hosted on AWS and iframed it in a custom page
