Hi Everyone,

I was hoping to find out how your organizations are handling GDPR training and/or privacy by design and default training (or if you are doing this at all!).  We have a bit of an internal debate going around the suitability of canned options for GDPR and the depth of Privacy by Design training needed by regions.  It would be great to hear what your company is (or isn’t doing) for the above.  Has your organization gone beyond employee paperwork and canned training or are you using a tailored GDPR training solution?  Are you requiring the training globally or just for the EU?  Any insight is much appreciated!

We’ve created our own GDPR training because the available training didn’t suit to our needs. To justify this, the team mapped out all the different touchpoints where employees handle data which was an eye-opener, as they managed to identify quite a few scenarios where untrained employees could cause a serious data breach- and then the business case for tailored training is quite easy. This was actually the reason why management pushed for internal e-learning, previously my team focused only on customer education.
