Anyone work with image hotspot questions?
We are getting feedback that a question is harder than expected. We take that as a reason to improve and we need to refactor/rethink out our instructions. For folks that play the SCORM game - is there a sample text that you use with an image hotspot interaction? Any additions would be appreciated.
How does everyone here intake requests for new ILTs and Courses?
We have a new ticketing system that has some limitations on the fields that it can accept, but we might be able to make work. I’m worried that people might not be able to follow the logic, however. There’s also the idea of linking to a Qualtrics survey, but then how to tie it to the ticket? We need to collect all of the relevant information necessary to create an ILT or Course (with all relevant training material) while not overwhelming the submitter. Right now we are using a word doc, which doesn’t make for great tracking. How is everyone doing this?
BRC Audit in Manufacturing and Distribution
Hi All! I was wondering whether anyone in the community is working with delivering training in their manufacturing and/or distribution site at all? We are BRC audited which is throwing up a lot of nuances in the design of the new processes as we map them over to Docebo. We are currently all paper and excel based so it is a very big jump! Is anyone else BRC audited? How are you tackling this kind of training?Laura
Looking for a Free Voice over tool
Hello Team, Giving a brief intro about my organization : New to Learning and Training. No Prior experience to trainings, E learning, LMS. Few employees new to Training as a concept. Now my concern is: We are about to launch our Docebo LMS this week, we don't have any licensed authoring tool or any apps to create e-learning.I have a few PowerPoint presentations Which I would like to upload on the LMS after the launch, I want to add voice over using an app which has various accents (considering we have employees from various locations). Also, the files should be compatible with Docebo.Looking for your suggestions for free tools that I can use for same, also want them to be user friendly for our SMEs who aren't that tech savvy.ThanksAmi
Videos - Direct Upload vs. YouTube/Vimeo links
Curious to know which method you use to add videos to your platform, and what you find the advantages/disadvantages to be in user experience and reporting. We currently upload all of our videos, but are looking to migrate all of that to Vimeo so that we can add chapter markers like ‘skip intro’, or add chapters for any videos longer than 3-5 min.
Gamification with Branches Rather than Users
Hey! We are looking at launching a contest for our risk & compliance coursework. I haven’t used gamification outside of testing** Our Compliance team would love it if we could have leaderboards like highest # of courses completed by a specific branch, rather than a user. In the below diagram, we’d love to have a contest where currently we’d track top # of completions by division. Under each division, we’d have a winning office that gets some party or swag. Our organization has 900+ offices that we’d need to track. Our use case for branching is:Top Corporate Company 1 Corporate NY IL AZ Field Division 1 Territory 1 Region 1 Office 1 O2 O3 R2 R3 T2 T3 D2 D3 Company 2 Company 3 Has anyone used gamification in any way outside of top user?
Vote Up Please - Keeping Reports private
Hey folks - if you could vote up please on this oneWe just got a note from the developer side that where it isnt on the map? It has potential.Key to the life of this idea? YOUR VOTE COUNTS. Please take a moment and click to vote on it so that we can flag reports as private overtime (just like in the older reports approach). And thank you @Annarose.Peterson on being an early vote with it!

Best practices for moving a person through a course
Hi - so we have Docebo content and Go1 as a content aggregator.Go1 puts up this big you have completed the course message when a person is done with the course and we find ourselves consistently troubleshooting because we get these notes that people are done...but they are only done with the training material, and not another component to the course.I took the advice to add an HTML page to get people going through the course the smoothest was possible to let the person know that they have to keep on going.Trying to make it clear. But folks still struggle. I am curious - what are others doing to help people move through Go1 content and to keep their folks engaged successfully to complete all of their tasks.
GDPR q for my european friends
Hello, Came across the following today:We store users after they leave a company, in case they return or join a different member company. We don’t use their data for commercial purposes, this is just their own course completions. Does GDPR apply here, and if so, does anyone have a working system in place? My thoughts were to md5 hash firstname lastname username email for any users placed in the “former members/european members” folder, which is where we place former members.
Zoom host issues
So we have set up our Zoom integration so that webinars/ILT’s can be run over zoom. It has its own zoom account.Setting up a test ILT course with a test session and test event utilising zoom as the web conferencing tool works fine. The session starts, the button appears and I can join the zoom on my own account and have the relevant functionality as a host like recording etc.Bolstered by this test, I went ahead and created a real ILT with real people. The button appeared, but I could not join as a host, only an attendee. I was set as an instructor in the session as were two others. No one else was in the zoom, no one else had started it and I was kicked out after 10 minutes because the host did not attend.I am confused and wondered if anyone could offer any clarity as to what decides who the “host” is when a zoom is started from Docebo so that we can avoid this problem in the future?
The next Friday dilemma - xml error from comslider?
Anyone else out there in the community that uses Comslider seeing an unexpected xml error?<Error><Code>UserProjectAccountProblem</Code><Message>The project to be billed is associated with a delinquent billing account.</Message><Details>The billing account for the owning project is disabled in state delinquent</Details></Error>I would hate to pull the widget...but this makes people think something is broken (and yes we pay our bills 🤣). I have reached out to their support...but we may be pulling the widget in the next 45 minutes or so if we can figure it out.
Building Groups with System Fields
When creating groups you have the ability to add users automatically with conditions based on “Additional Fields”. I would like the ability to add users based on “System Fields”, specifically language - It would make it so much easier to group my users based on language and share content specifically in their language that is unique from other languages. Translation sometimes isn’t enough, we like to create custom content for each language. Right now, I have to use the filter in user management, select the language, and manually add those users to different “language” branches and then assign the “Spanish” branch to the “Spanish Course Catalog” for an example.Maybe someone here has done something like this a different way.
Valuable Microsoft Content
Hello everyone! New to the forum, and I’m excited to see if there’s anyone out there who is willing to share some information. As a value add to our learners, I would like to package several Microsoft YouTube videos to help the everyday employee. I’m thinking of finding Excel (various levels), PowerPoint, Word, OneNote & more. Has anyone packaged a similar offering and would be willing to share which videos were used/popular? Thanks all!Drew
Assigning Assets to Users to Watch
Good Morning All,We have a growing number of managers who would like to use our assets in our library to provide support to employees who may be on a PIP (performance improvement plan). As an example...we have an employee that could benefit from reading four or five articles we have tagged for communication. I’d like to have record that this person read these prior to a coaching session. Ideally, I want to avoid creating a course for one person. I’d be open to creating a playlist that can be assigned and tracked (if that is a possibility). Looking for any guidance on this one!
VPN Split Tunnel Streaming Traffic
Greetings, I’m a network engineer and my company uses your platform for our internal training needs. As a healthcare company we are highly sensitive to security and as such we perform a lot of network filtering. To achieve such filtering, we require all users (employee’s & contractors) have a VPN client and tunnel all our traffic through our firewall that perform filtering. Unfortunately doing so can tax our systems depending on the type of traffic and overall network load. To improve our overall performance we employ technique called split-tunnel, (see the link bellow to learn about this), for well-known traffic such as voice/video traffic. I’ve determined in our environment that Docebo traffic is taxing our system and thus we want to split the traffic. Now to do this, we require a list of Docebo’s public hosts so that we can add to our split tunnel configuration. Just for clarity this is a common practice that SAAS providers offer and I’ve left a few examples of providers that do
eLearning in Warehouses
I serve as the Director of Training and Development for my company. Docebo is being well used, however, we are missing a segment of employees who are hourly and in our warehouses. There are many implications… Who is eligible? When is time allotted? What kinds of elearning did you find was the most helpful? How long were the sessions that were available? What kind of tech did you use...chrome books, tablets, etc? other “good to knows” for supporting warehouse employees taking eLearning.I’d love to connect with anyone who is willing to share. Thanks in advance.-Ryan
"Verified" vs. "Unverified"
Does anyone know what triggers the “verified” vs. “unverified” menu in the user profiles? I have some users that are unable to access their course material, and (through a lot of trial and error!) I figured out it was because they were “unverified”. But I’m not sure why some of my users are verified and some are not. Anyone know what triggers it? Thanks!
Tell me about this LTI .
Hi. Long time, first time. Can someone give me a dumb’ed down’ed version of this so-called LTI ? Maybe a simple Use Case or a couple harder ones? I am trying my hardest to get through: https://www.imsglobal.org/basic-overview-how-lti-works I see Tool Consumer and Tool Provider, but : WHAT IS A TOOL? - is that even the correct question to ask?? “Instructors and students navigate into the learning applications by” So. It’s like an external application on a computer right? So we’re (hypothetically) opening MS Word (an external application) to use a .docx ? MMM… that doesn’t sound right. So again I seek <INPUT> . Are LTIs like SCORM/AICC/xAPI but for other types of files? Are YOU utilizing LTI? What are they? How are they? What are they used form. What makes them great/suck?? I humbly await clarity. Thanks!Alison
I mean - really?
A competitors claims. Removed the name to avoid any flack…what is scary is that without a doubt? folk will buy into these claims. So let’s say you can achieve 91% completion rates. What happened to the other 9%? Did the platform some how magically attrit them? What boggles me is “the pitch” then to customers “Well, we have the platform to get you there - the rest is on you”. This is worse than saying “you will look cool and strike up more conversations with that new car”.What do you think? Should learning systems really put out claims like this and be able to get away with it? 🤥
AICC Course Development
Hello Docebo Community,We currently work with 3rd party vendors that have AICC courses which we utilize within the platform and they have the ability to charge based on usage. Does anyone have documentation or have the expertise to build these type (AICC) of courses so we can offer the same to our external clients? Thanks in advamce.
Sharing High Level Metrics for Comparison Purposes?
Hello All,My team is working on our end of year learning dashboards for learner engagement & training statistics in our instance of Docebo. I’d be curious if anyone out there would be willing to share a couple of the following high level metrics (I’ve put ours next to each category). Would be cool to get a general sense of how our metrics compare to others, understanding that there are many factors that go into these metrics...Average courses completed per active user for 2022. Ours = 9 courses / per user Average course completions per course for 2022. Ours = 19 completions / per course Average course rating per course. Ours = 4.6 stars / per courseThanks in advance for anyone willing to share!
