Hi all,

We are wanting learners to be able to access content from our Public Catalog and actually view material and interact with it without having to log in. You can see in the image below we have this test course we are playing around with. There’s 4 Training Material items listed under Content that we’ve added but you cannot click on anything. We would like to be able to. Basically we want a course for free for the public without enrolling or logging in. Is it possible to do this or will all our interested learners need to create an account just to demo/trial our content?

Thank you in advance!

A user account is a MUST. It needs to align the user to the course to control enrolment, tracking, learning history, etc.

There may be some ways you can simplify the self-registration process by asking for only a minimal amount of information from the user. They cannot take a course without first having an account.

If you truly want a solution that allows users to take a course without having an account, you might look for another platform to do that; launch the course from a different place that could auto-play your course for users who do not wish to open an account

The only thing you can let a user do without creating an account in Docebo is view a course sample which is set up in the Catalog settings for the course:

It provides visibility to the description of a course on your public page and includes a Preview button which launches the demo material file. This might accomplish your goal, but it’s quite limited, so maybe not. It will not provide any tracking and the file size might be prohibitive but it can be useful if you are trying to drive interest.

Not the same experience as running through a course but might you be able to iFrame something to a page?
