Hi All - I can’t seem to find clarity on this issue. 

I’m using the automated notification “learner has yet to complete a course.” 

It seems to be emailing all learners who have NOT completed the course, including “deactivated” users who happen to be enrolled in the course. 

There is no way to “filter” out deactivated users when setting up the automated notification.

Is this how it works? Any advice you could provide is greatly appreciated. 

Hi @NickStanzinai hard to say whether any of our deactivated users are receiving notifications but definitely agree that there should be some kind of gate on notifications for these cases. Have you opened a case with support? 

Had a look at the KB article and it has no mention of whether they would receive emails or not.


I would say as deactivated users still appear on enrolments for a course that they would receive a notification if they have not completed it.

The only way I know how to stop this is to unenroll any deactivated users from a course.  There is probably a neat way to do it, but I don’t know how sorry 😀
