Course completions can be tricky, and the cause can be very very specific. That being said, here’s my usual troubleshooting steps.
- Is it user specific?
- Is it browser specific?
- Is it only on the mobile app?
- Is it course specific?
- Is it ALL AICC courses, or only this vendor?
- Can I reproduce it at will?
The answers to those questions usually point me towards how to really narrow it down.
For example, if it is only one user, what is unique about their environment. If I can reproduce it, what do I notice about the course.
Real world scenarios I have seen:
I recently had a course that had an internal next button that had a delayed load. For some people, it NEVER showed the next button, so the user couldn’t move on. The issue was specific to one method of viewing, so the workaround was don’t do it that way.
I have also had cases where AWS was down and one vendor’s courses just died. Once AWS came back, so did the courses.

It’s not user, mobile app, or course specific and I can produce it at will, so I’ll test with a non-MS Edge browser and AICC files from other vendors.
We have had the same issue with AICC LinkedIn Learning courses. Docebo has identified the cause and is working on a hot fix.
