Hello Community,

We are prepping to move to Docebo in the next couple months. I was curious if anyone is using the Central Repository to store training manuals or performance supports documents like job aids. Most documents would be in PDF format. Currently we are storing these types of documents in SharePoint. Thank you in advance!

@stanley at CNP Hi, Stanley

You absolutely can use the CP for storing documents. The challenge is how those documents are then ‘illuminated’ for the learner. The CP isn’t something that a standard user can access - it is reserved for power users and administrators - so it isn’t a natural KB.

You could use something like channels, or Discover, Coach & Share to create a KB-ish user experience. Or add the documents directly to a course as a training material/resource.

The one drawback is that using CP as a KB still keeps your content development outside of the platform. In other words, you still have to maintain a Sharepoint version for updates, etc.

Good luck!
