I am running a report and have specifically ticked the box to hide deactivated users.  Anyone know why they would still show in the report?  They have all different user profiles, from learner to superadmin.

Seems pretty straightforward you would think….never actually noticed whether this worked or not...have you reached out to support to ask about this? Might be the best place to go...it may be a bug.

@Suzy_q So how do you “deactivate”? What icon is under the Status field in Users, and is there an expiration date on those accounts?

TBH, we ended up pulling all of our deactivated accounts into a fully separate branch so that we could 100% guarantee that they don’t show up in reports.

Thanks @KMallette, would it actually be that simple??  I find nothing logical in this system at times.

While these are good workarounds, if the issue with reports is that those settings do not do their job, we should be opening tickets to alert support and get this fixed. I will do some testing and let you know if I see the same results.

So I tested again and it seems to be working for me...the trick is, when you deactivate a user, you cannot report on them immediately as the reports need to refresh...I created a report, deactivated one of the users already enrolled in that corse, the I waited for the refresh and once I looked at the preview that inactive user was not in the report…

Maybe you need to look at when your user statuses are being updated as compared to the report export times...You may need to leave at least 1 hour between the profile updates to the report export to see that the inactive users have been removed from the report.
