We’re reviewing our processes and the suggestion has been floated to create an e-learning “companion” course for each new (V)ILT course. This course would be used to host the course recording(s), slide decks and any other training materials.

Does anyone have experience with this practice? I’m trying to figure out how this could work in terms of user enrollment, equivalencies, reporting, etc.

Thankyamushhh!

Just another question to your ask - wouldn’t that be the same as a prerequisite?

you can add all that material to the ILT course (the recording can be added after the event only)...you can use the File widget to add supplementary or additional material and even designate who can see/download them (user, Instrcutor or both).

Yes, thanks - that’s what we’ve done for the past several years. Some of our LMS team are proposing making the ILT course available only during that event and moving all the materials to an E-learning course for attendance tracking and givig the users a standardized experience in how they obtain PPTs, materials, certificates.
