This is my first time encountering this error message and I’m not sure what is wrong with my SCORM package. I’ve tried uploading SCORM1.2 and SCORM2004. The file sizes are under 10MB and they were created with storyline.

I get this error message:
“Whoops, it looks like your file may not be formatted correctly. For more information, refer to our Knowledge Base. If the problem persists, contact the Help Desk.”

I’ve verified the file formats to the best of my ability and can’t get past this error. For additional reference, I’ve published and uploaded many other SCORM packages with no issues.

Any suggestions or things I should look for in the SCORM package that may be causing this?

Hi - so it is rather straightforward to review a SCORM package.

To do a simple low-tech check? Build yourself an account with SCORM Cloud (it takes 5 minutes and its free).

See if you can upload your course there and get it to play. If you can? Put in a support ticket with Docebo.

SCORM Cloud is built by an amazing team that is open to answering any question about SCORM.

What edition of SCORM 2004 ddi you use? It must be ‘3rd Edition’ only.

Thanks for this, I just checked and I’m using 3rd edition :/

Thanks, dklinger! I just uploaded the package to storm cloud, and it loaded and functions as intended. So it appears I may need to put in a Docebo support ticket :/

and just checking that you importing a zipped file...correct?

Yep! it’s a zip file, and I made a comparison to another scorm package that I uploaded successfully (checking that the files seem to be in their right place/naming convention looks good). I do not see anything out of the ordinary. As another member posted, I uploaded it to scorm cloud, and it loaded. I tried again in Docebo and received the same error message “File not formatted properly”. Something is off and I just can’t figure out what it is.

it could hav been corrupted during the export process...have you tried exporting again from your authoring tool? creating a new package might do the trick
