Our industry requires our employees to successfully complete and be certified in HAZWOPER training. Right now, the Docebo Go 1 library does not have HAZWOPER training that satisfies the 40-hour and 8-hour requirements, so we have to use another content provider, JJ Keller. With this SCORM file provided by JJ Keller, we are unable to retrieve the certificate of completion at the end of the course, which our employees need to get jobs/include in their proposals.

If you require employees to be HAZWOPER certified, what content provider are you using? How do they facilitate the training in Docebo and how can they receive their certification at the completion of the course?

@Julianne_Foster I don’t provide this type of content, but a couple of things come to mind:

  1. Do you have the course configured to display a certificate?
  2. Can you request a certificate template from JJ Keller that has their logo, etc. or whatever you need?
    1. If yes, then you should be able to use it to create a certificate template in Docebo that the learners can download.

@KMallette Yes, we have spoken with JJ Keller and they basically told us we would need to use their LMS platform in order to see and download the certificate. Unfortunately, they won’t give us the template to upload and recreate either so we are looking for other alternatives or other providers that might be more compatible with Docebo.

That’s unfortunate … I’d rate them down on stuff like that.

Regarding content, the CFR https://www.ecfr.gov/current/title-29/part-1910/section-1910.120#p-1910.120(e) doesn't get super specific on what content must be included, so the topics are not identical from provider to provider.  You could create your own Learning Plan with 40 hrs of applicable content you compile from go1.  If JJ Keller gave you a SCORM file with all 40 hours of content to upload into Docebo, then seems to me that you could just make your own certificate template.

Regarding the certificate, the CFR 1910.120(e)(6) doesn’t get specific on what must be on the certificate, unlike some other CFRs.  However, the employee also needs the required field/hands on training anyway to get their HAZWOPER certificate, so you’d need a way to document that and issue the certificate upon completion. Which brings us back to the Learning Plan idea with a certificate stating completion of the 40 hrs off site and the required field training with name, date, etc.
