Good Day Community,

I'll caveat this by recognizing that the learning plan reports aren't the most ideal, however I'm wondering if anyone has experimented and had issues with reports after the new learning plan functionality went live. I have a learning plan with 6 courses - 4 are required, 2 are optional. I've completed the 4 required courses and only partially completed the optional courses. My learning plan status, as a learner, shows Completed.

I've created a custom report, type: Users - Learning Plans. It has the one learning plan as the custom selection, my enrollment status filters are completed, in progress, and not started. My report fields are username, completion date, and completion percentage.

When I run the report, for my entry as a learner, I'm not showing a completion date, and my completion percentage is showing as 16.66667.

Has anyone noticed any oddness in completion percentage for learning plans with optional courses, and if so, do you have any tips for mitigating that?

Any insight would be appreciated. Thank you.

Will have to try it to see but it does sound like the report is still set on the old version of the LP...definitely not normal for the report to be different than what you see on screen. have you asked support about this?

Hi @lrnlab. I haven’t reached out to support yet but will later today. My first stop is always to poll the experts here.  😃

@LNew very curious to see what support says...I have noticed the same behavior as well, and it makes me hesitate to roll this new functionality out to my team, as there will be confusion for sure.

@slgoldstein I’ll post an update here should we get a response. Fingers crossed that this is something that will warrant a fix.

Just for some additional information, I tested this with both old and new reports and determined that neither is aligned with the new learning plan functionality, but both display discrepancies differently. The old report displays the correct completion percentage, however, if the optional courses have not been finished, the status is shown as "In progress” and the completion date is blank. The new report will display an incorrect completion percentage, seemingly based on the total number of courses in the learning plan, regardless of required or optional status, and as such, the corresponding completion date will be blank.

Would love to know more about this before we roll out the change.

As an update - Support informed my team that there was already a planned bug fix for this particular issue. It looks to have been rolled out today, at least to Sandbox. In my testing, my reports (old and new) are now showing the proper completion status, percentage, and date based on the required courses within the learning plan.

@LNew - thank you for sharing!

Does anyone know how this affects Salesforce? We we tested a learning plan with 4 courses, 2 mandatory and 2 optional > marked learners complete for the 2 mandatory courses > docebo shows complete but Salesforce shows 50% progress.
