Notifications can only be sent to single audience at a time...If you wan the same (or similar notification) to go to a PU or super, you would need to create copies for each audience...SO in theory, the same template can be used with different text when sending to users vs. PU’s vs. super admins.
As for sending to supers, yes all super would get the email regardless of which one you want to be notified. As for the PU option, it depends on the template. I think most have the option target PU roles so that can limit which PU get what notificaitons; or you can create a custom role for a single PU if you want to keep things really tight.
Thank you- so if I create a copy of the template and select Managers as the audience it would only be tied to Managers who have not completed the course, correct? And no connection to the user who still has not completed the course?
Seems odd there is no setting to enable the direct manager of the user to receive the email as well.
Depends on the template...e.g; the course enrolment template is designed to go to the person who enrolled in the course. IN this template the option to send to anyone other than the user will receive a notice that the “User” enrolled in a course so it’s more about advising the user’s manager they their employee has enrolled in a course...does that makes sense?
We usually set them up as a copy of the user template but change the text to read like this…
Hello (do not use the name short code as it will pull the user’s name, not the manager’s),
Your employee YFirst_name] Last_name] has enrolled in scourse_name] and was sent this confirmation:
the part that follows is a copy of what was sent to the user
Hope that make sense...
