Is there a way to create a phone # field with a preset format?
i.e. +1 222 333 4444

you can create the field but cannot set the format unfortunately. Perhaps you can name the field like this:
Phone No. (+1 222 333 4444)
so admins and/or users know what and how to fill it in...
