Power User Profiles - pre-populate user additional fields

Dear Community,

Please could somebody explain to me what this setting in the Power User Profile settings does?  What I have managed to determine so far is that:

  • it does not, in fact, do any pre-populating of fields
  • it does not affect the visibility of fields for Power users (this is done with the Branch field visibility settings)

 

NB - my goal is for a specific additional field to be visible to some PUs and not others.

HI @Alan as is explained in the text just below the title, this will only work when a PU creates users. The idea is that it would automatically populate the same fields with the data from the PU profile.

If you are looking to make certain fields visible or not to a PU or user, this can be done via the user management menu. Click on the (...) next a branch and see Set Field Visibility. This controls what fields are visible vs. not
