Hi all,

These days I ran into a strange behaviour and I’m wondering if this is an expected behaviour or not.

Situation:

We have a “Course survey” that is used in several courses with separated completion track. So the completion of the survey is separated per each course.

For one of the courses I needed to archive the completion and reset the training materials completion for an annual re-take.

One of the training material was this survey as well. So the completion of this survey was reseted for this specific course.

Now when I wanted to pull out some reports for other courses for this specific survey, the results were missing.

Basically for all users that were on the reset process on 1 course and this survey, the responses were reseted/deleted for all courses as well.

Question:  When you have a “not shared completion track” survey on multiple courses and you reset the completion on one of the courses, this will reset/delete the responses from all the courses? Is this the expected result? Even if the completion is not shared via courses?

If yes:

- How can we avoid deleting the responses from other courses?

-Is there a possibility when archiving completion to reset completion of training material only for a part of the training materials and not all?

Thank you!

Sadly, when archiving Survey data or Exam data, there is no way to retrieve that at this time...this is one of the bigger gaps with this function.

Have a look at these and vote up the ones you like:

Can I recommend opening a ticket as well. I believe that it’s important you log the issue as you see it - as a bug. In this situation I would consider it so because the expectation in shared non-shared tracking is that it is independent regardless of whether it’s an expected behavior or not. This along with Mark’s suggestion will help push the dev team to make improvements more than just voting alone.
