Is there any way to set up my global search on the platform? I am loading skills into the platform and would love for my employees to be able to search for these. Right now I find the global search tends to confuse a lot of my employees more than help. Any suggestions for this are appreciated!

Sadly no, lots of folks would like it though. Def search through the ideas area and upvote items.
