Hi Brains Trust,

Is this feasible:

A user is enrolled into a session of an ILT course which has two events.  The user is marked as present for event one but absent for event two and therefore they are evaluated as not passed for the session marking the course incomplete.  The user enrols into the second event of another course session at a later date and is marked as present and therefore the course is finally recorded as completed.

Could a user enrol into just one event for a multi session course?

Is this an automated process or would this require some manual monitoring?

Hi @Suzy_q,

Guessing that your session completion criteria is set as Attendance based. If that’s the case, on the Properties tab of your ILT course, you could set the Session Completion criteria to be for a Custom Number of Events, as opposed to all events within the session. So for your example above, while you have 2 events in your session, you can set the session completion to be based on 1 event only.

I hope this helps.

A user unrolls into a Session that contains Events therefore they are booked into all events in that session. If they do not attend 1 of the events and depending on the session settings, the could be left in progress on the course or marked as completed if they only needed to attend some of the events (as shown above). Technically the user can only be marked as completed for that session and not just some events in one session and some events in another, unless you do your tracking manually for these cases.
