Hello! We are implementing the Learn module and looking ahead to plan how we will use skills within Docebo. 

 

  1. Is anyone using skills in Docebo? To what extent? Are you willing to share what you are doing and what’s been working well?
  2. Has anyone integrated with a HRIS or ATS? How are you handling this?
  3. Is anyone using Docebo to support other skill projects--like career pathing or job architecture?

We would love to hear from anyone who is using Docebo skills or external skills. We are excited about exploring how technology can support our skills strategy! 

We have been skirting this for a while only due to the amount of work required to get this up and running...some of the parts we have identified so far:

  • Define skill sets based on company values, ethics, behaviours, etc.
  • Review roles/jobs and define what skills and skill levels are needed for proficiency
  • Create Skillsets
  • Review all course content to identify what skills and skill levels each can address
  • Review all assets to identify what skills and skill levels each can address
  • assign skills & skill levels to all courses
  • assign skills & skill levels to all assets
  •  Socialize with Managers who will need to follow and manage their employees
  • Socialize with users who will need to complete self-assessments
  • Train on dashboards, reports, checklists, etc.

This is a very high level list of tasks we’ve identified to get the process started...It can be very daunting but can be done in steps over a periods of time.. identifying the desired behaviours and skills is probably the longest part.
