Hi Docebo Community,

We have a field called Project Manager, that captures names, I am trying to use this field in a report I’m building but is it not showing as an option. Any idea what could be causing this? I’m not sure how to check if this field came with our account my default, as I don’t see it listed under the Additional Fields.

Thank You!

Hi there,

Additional Fields should show in Custom Reports immediately to be selected from the View Options area.

Is this an Additional Field for a user that you created? Which Report type are you using?

Hi @DPatel, no, i do not see the field under the Additional Fields. I’m trying to create a simple User report and select this “Project Manager” field that we complete when we enroll new users. I think that field came with our account as default and maybe it was renamed and unhidden. When I go to the list of Additional Fields, I don’t see it there.

@monica.aten Hi, Monica.  Is the additional field assigned to the same domain that you are pulling the report from?

Project Manager may not be an additional field, and it’s not a default field. Take a look under the Manage Teams and Managers icon.

Even as a manager field, it should appear in your reports. You might need to check with the Help Center

Hi there,

So this field shows up when enroll New Users, so this sounds like a Course Additional Field?

But the report you are trying to pull is a Users Report, if this is the case, the Course Additional Field is tied to the course itself and not the user and can only be collected when utilising a course report of some kind.

If you could show us where the Additional Field is set up that you have mentioned, feel free to redact the rest and the Report Type, I can help you explore this further.

Hi @KMallette, Yes I was able to find the Project Manager field here:

However, I don’t see it available on my report:

@DPatel thank you! Yes, it looks the type may be an issue. See the screenshots i shared with @KMallette on where I found the field.

@DPatel - I create a new report User - Course and I still can’t see those Manager Type fields other than Department Manager:

Manager Types:

Hi @monica.aten

I see, so it seems they are missing from the Users report that is available from Custom Reports. Might be one to raise with Docebo to see if this can be implemented.

The other method is selecting all users in the User Management Area using the checkboxes.

Click Select All

In the bottom right of the screen select Choose Action and Export via file type.

From there, you can select the fields and this should also present the Manager Types also.

This can then allow you to pull a report. Its a bit more manual but this should allow you to gather these from the platform.

@DPatel thank you! I’ll give that a try and submit a support ticket too. Many thanks for all the insight and guidance.

If the field is of type TEXT, it does not become an option in your reports...Only those fields that have drop-down, or pick from a list can be viewed and used in reports...hope this helps...

Hey,
I just doubled check and in reports,  and I can confirm I can see any type of user/course additional fields, even the text ones. Hope this helps!

@francesca.vaccarino thanks...we are actually talking about this section, not the View Options, but the Filter tab

This only displays those additional fields that configured as dropdown...the text fields cannot be used as filters...sadly.
