Hello, we have a use case where during holidays (upcoming Thanksgiving) or when an instructor is sick, they would like to upload a recording ahead of time for the upcoming ILT event(s). Is there a way to do this or a best practice for these kinds of use cases?

+2You could load a link to zoom recording in the join link for example, however that kinda defeats the purpose of a live session.
If you're able to deliver a training that doesn't necessarily need to be live, perhaps create an eLearning with the video? 😊
You can after the session is over, add a recordings into sessions.
+3You could do what @cheney recommended or we have loaded them as training material for our ILT and that works too.
+10If your live event is essentially cancelled, you can use the “Send Email” option the Session enrolment tab and add the link to the recorded session there...this way you can tell them not to bother logging in.
Thanks for your responses. For my use cases. we are uploading the recordings to Skillbuilder, we don’t have an external link
